Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya[1] is an upcoming Bollywood romantic drama film directed by Prabhu Deva.[2] The film introduced producer Kumar Taurani's son Girish Kumar, alongside Shruti Haasan as the leading lady.[3] It will be a remake of Prabhu Deva's directorial debut Telugu blockbuster Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. An 50-sec teaser of the film was released on 25th January 2013, along with Abbas-Mustan's Race 2. The film is expected to release on 7th June 2013.Filming The first shot of the film took place in Mumbai on August 1. After shooting a song in Mumbai, the team will be travelling to Himachal Pradesh for a schedule.[4] Casting Sonu Sood to play Shruti Haasan ’s brother in this film.[5] Girish Kumar has been roped in to play the hero, while Poonam Dhillon will be essaying the hero's mother. Also, Pankhuri Awasthi will be playing a major supporting role in the film.She has been a Channel V,VJ previously. Anchal singh, seen in various television ads, is playing an important role. She will also be seen as playing Yashodhara(Buddha's wife) in an international film.
